Get professional eyes on your resume—no matter where you’re starting from.

Is This Session Right for You?

Whether your resume is nearly finished or still a work in progress, this session is designed to give you expert, personalized feedback tailored to your career transition goals.

An expert career coach who understands how to translate teaching experience into corporate language will review your resume and help you identify what’s working—and what needs refining.

This session is ideal if you're feeling unsure about your resume, want to make sure it's aligned with the roles you're applying for, or simply want someone to confirm you're on the right track.

Turn your teaching experience into a resume that can open doors outside of the classroom.

To get the most out of your Resume Review, we recommend using the Teacher Career Transition Academy’s resume template and applying the foundational strategies taught in the Academy’s Resume Workshops. Career Clarity Coaching
“The Academy has really opened my eyes about many things such as the different jobs out there, how important networking is, and so much more. I used to blindly apply to jobs and wonder why they never called back. Now I know, there’s a little more that goes into it than just submitting your current resume. Can’t wait to continue through the course, learn more, and gain the confidence and knowledge needed to make my transition! ”

“Lisa and the Teacher Career Transition Academy helped me to better understand what changes I would need to make on my résumé and cover letters so that I was more marketable. In education, one résumé and one basic cover letter pretty much does the trick but depending on what job you’re applying for your cover letter and or résumé could look totally different.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I have ready before my session?

Before booking your session, you’ll be prompted to:

  • Upload your current resume (make it as polished and complete as you can—this will help you get the most value from our review)
  • Complete a short questionnaire about your career goals and experience
  • Provide a target job description—ideally a link to an exact posting you’d like to apply for

Having these materials ready ensures your coach can give you tailored, strategic feedback that’s aligned with your career goals.

How complete should my resume be before booking?

For the most productive session, your resume should be as complete and polished as you can make it on your own. While it doesn’t need to be perfect, having all sections filled in allows your coach to focus on strategy, alignment, and fine-tuning rather than basic formatting or missing information.  If your resume is still in very early draft form, you may want to work on it a bit more before booking so you can get the maximum value from your session.

I’m not a Teacher Career Transition Academy member. Can I still book a session?

Yes! All services are open to non-members. However, Academy members receive discounted pricing on all 1:1 coaching packages. The membership provides ongoing support, tools, and access to live coaching sessions—so you’re never navigating this transition alone. Many members use these 1:1 sessions to go deeper on a specific area while continuing to receive guidance and accountability through the Academy.

Will the coach write my resume for me?

No—your coach will not write your resume for you. This session is focused on reviewing your existing resume and giving you strategic, personalized feedback to improve it. You’ll leave with clear guidance on edits, bullet points, and formatting so you can make updates yourself—both now and in the future. Our goal is to help you strengthen your resume skills, not just hand you a finished document.

What if I need more help after my 1:1 resume session?

You’re not alone—career transitions take time, and we’re here for the long haul. If you need additional support after your session, you can book another 1:1, explore one of our coaching packages, or consider joining the Teacher Career Transition Academy for ongoing access to tools, trainings, and live coaching. We’ll help you figure out the next best step based on where you are in your journey.

What if I need to cancel or change my coaching session?

We understand plans can change! Here’s how we handle it:

Rescheduling your date/time –  No problem! You can easily reschedule through our booking system. Please note that availability may vary.
Canceling or switching to a different service – We don’t offer refunds for 1:1 coaching services, but you’ll receive a credit you can apply toward another service or a Teacher Career Transition Academy membership. If the new service costs more, you’ll simply pay the difference.

For all the details, please review our full refund policy within our Terms and Conditions

Can I choose my coach?

Yes! After you purchase your session, you’ll be able to choose from our coaches who specialize in that specific service. Each coach has different areas of expertise, so you can be confident you’re working with someone who’s highly experienced in the topic you’ve selected. Once you book, you’ll see their availability and can pick the coach and time that works best for you.
