To get the most out of your 1:1 Career Strategy Coaching Session, we recommend coming prepared with clarity around the specific topic you’d like to focus on.


Whether you choose Career Clarity, LinkedIn Profile Review, Interview Preparation, Salary Negotiation, or another focus area, your coach will tailor the session to your goals — but preparation ensures we can spend our time on strategy and refinement rather than background details.


Before your session, you’ll:

  • Select your focus topic
  • Complete a short Pre-Coaching Questionnaire
  • Share any relevant materials (LinkedIn profile, resume, job description, draft cover letter, etc.)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your refund policy for 1:1 services?

We don’t offer refunds for 1:1 coaching services. If you need to cancel, you’ll receive a credit you can apply toward another service or a Teacher Career Transition Academy membership. If the new service costs more, you’ll simply pay the difference.

What if I need to reschedule my session once I book a time?

You may reschedule your session anytime more than 36 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email. Changes made with less than 36 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee. Please note that availability may vary depending on your coach’s calendar.

What should I have ready before my session?

Before booking your session, you’ll be prompted to:

  • Select your focus area
  • Complete a short Pre-Coaching Questionnaire
  • Upload any relevant materials (if applicable), such as a resume, LinkedIn profile link, job description, interview details, or notes

Having these materials ready ensures your coach can provide tailored, strategic guidance aligned with your goals.

How much can we cover in one session?

Each 55-minute session is focused on one specific topic. This ensures we can go deep, provide structured guidance, and give you actionable next steps.


If you’d like support in multiple areas (for example, LinkedIn and Interview Prep), we recommend booking separate sessions so each topic receives the attention it deserves.

I’m not a Teacher Career Transition Academy member. Can I still book a session?

Yes! All services are open to non-members. However, Academy members receive discounted pricing on all 1:1 coaching packages. The membership provides ongoing support, tools, and access to live coaching sessions—so you’re never navigating this transition alone. Many members use these 1:1 sessions to go deeper on a specific area while continuing to receive guidance and accountability through the Academy.

Will the coach complete the work for me?

No — this is not a done-for-you service.

Your coach will provide strategic guidance, feedback, and clear action steps. Implementation remains in your hands. Our goal is to equip you with the skills and clarity to move forward confidently — not just solve a one-time issue.

What if I need more help after my session?

Career transitions take time — and we’re here for the long haul.

If you’d like continued support, you can:
  • Book another 1:1 session in the same focus area
  • Choose a different focus area
  • Explore a longer-term coaching package
  • Join the Teacher Career Transition Academy for ongoing support and resources

We’ll help you determine the best next step based on where you are in your journey.

Can I choose my coach?

Yes! After you purchase your session, you’ll see the available coach or coaches for that service along with their calendars. You can then select the time that works best for you, knowing you’ll be matched with someone who specializes in that area.
